Paintings for People

On Valentine's Day I created a personal painting for my husband. The image of two canoes is how we approach our relationship-we see ourselves as rowing two separate canoes side-by-side.

I also painted a mini painting for my friend Jessie. It turned out as a subtle, subconscious reference to Georgia O'Keefe.

Conduit Orlando

I'm meeting the brains behind this operation this week, Shannon Staunton. Its great to see Orlando investing in artists, and motivating as well. I hope to be apart of this movement!

What am I doing these days?

Back by popular demand (aka, my inner voice) is a blog post on laughingjulia.

I realized I had a couple projects to share:

A prize winning photo of a nail design from Le Petit Nails, featured in Nails Magazine!

Engagement photos for my good friends Joey and Elizabeth....

As well as their wedding photos...

Plus, I was the youngest artist at the Florida Museum for Women Artist's juried show, and they asked me to be apart of an expanded show in 2012! Several people commissioned work from me, and I got a new job! The challenge now is carving out time to spend on making a new website, spiffying up the etsy account, and creating new art to show and sell!

Why didn't I think these things were worth posting?

Still Life No. 1, watercolor and charcoal

They selected this piece to display with 40 other works of art! I can't believe I made it in this show, I feel blessed and honored.

The opening reception is November 19th and it will run until February 6th!
